Recently, Scion unveiled the FR-S sports car version of Toyota's American GT racing arm 86 and they've let go of the FR-S Race Car racing prototypes developed in cooperation with GReddy. Scion FR-S Car Racing made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show 2012. However, it will make its debut race in the Formula Drift series 2012 with veteran driver Ken Gushi, behind the wheel.
Racing Car FR-S clearly inspired by the street version, but it would be adopted for the race track. It will get improved aerodynamic kits, racing uniforms, the larger rear wing that would maintain stability at high speeds, and of course, racing-oriented interior with a roll cage that will ensure safety in case of accident. The most impressive part is that the Racing Car FR-S will develop 600 HP up from standard 200 HP car.
