Subaru unveiled the production version of its highly anticipated BRZ sports coupe. Fully utilize the best design features of the current generation Boxer engine, newly developed 2.0-liter powerplant is exclusive to the BRZ. Joint development program with Toyota Motor Corporation is allowed 'D-4S' direct injection and port injection Toyota's technology to be incorporated into the BRZ's power unit, increasing efficiency. Powerplant which reached a maximum output of 200ps and torque of 151lb/ft.
Subaru engineered to BRZ transmission gearshift feel incredible and response. Manual six-speed gear lever features a short stroke, which is optimized in the accuracy of stiffness, and weight shift. Six-speed automatic transmission has a "Sport" shift mode for immediate response. "Manual" mode allows its drivers to use the steering wheel mounted paddles and system features "throttle blipping" a shift down to ensure the BRZ that provide maximum driver satisfaction.
The BRZ Subaru is scheduled to go on sale in the UK in July 2012.
